Product information
The VETUS boat batteries are manufactured exclusively in the EU and are optimally tailored to the requirements of recreational and commercial shipping. Their design takes into account the different needs of marine batteries, especially in winter when they are not used or charged for long periods. Thanks to their particularly low self-discharge rate of approx. 3%, VETUS batteries can also be used to start the engine after the winter break without any problems.
During the season, the batteries have to withstand various loads, from constant small currents to short, heavy loads such as the operation of a bow thruster. The SMF (Sealed Maintenance Free) marine battery series from VETUS is sealed and maintenance-free, so no topping up is required. The completely sealed housing, apart from a small pressure relief valve, is based on lead-calcium technology, which minimises water consumption. Some models have a "magic" eye to indicate the battery charge level.
Technical data:
Service life: 7-8 years
Charge/discharge cycles: 350 at 35%
Self-discharge: 3% per month
Electrolyte: Liquid
Plate material: Lead-calcium
VRLA (pressure relief valve)
For series and parallel connection
Safe for transport
