Do you dream of becoming a skipper or a 'hobby captain'? Then inflatable boats offer you a comparatively inexpensive way to make this dream come true. Don't worry, not all inflatable boats have to be painstakingly inflated, but some are inflatable. An inflatable boat is also not necessarily just made of rubber, but of various materials. This makes the boat more stable and of higher quality. With the right accessories, it becomes your own personalised boat.

The subtle differences between a rowing boat, inflatable boat and kayak

Firstly, inflatable boats differ in the way they are propelled on the water. A paddle boat is different to a rowing boat, a kayak or an inflatable motorised boat. Which type do you like best? The higher the speed at which you are travelling, the more stable the inflatable boat needs to be, of course. The best choice for an inflatable boat with a motor is one with a rigid hull. These boats also have a solid base plate, as they have to withstand the speed and the impact on the waves. The stern is also made of solid material so that the appropriate outboard motor can be mounted there.

If you have never kayaked before or would like to paddle a canoe, then these inflatable boats are perfect for beginners and advanced paddlers. The lighter weight and the ability to deflate the boat make it easier to transport and store.

For a motorised inflatable boat, especially if it has a rigid hull, a trailer is recommended as a car trailer. Transporting these boats on the roof of a car is not advisable. An inflatable boat with a motor is too heavy for this.

The important accessories for inflatable boats

Every skipper who loves their hobby also has the right tools and maintenance equipment to properly care for and maintain their boat and, if necessary, the engine.

If you are travelling with your inflatable boat and would like to jump into the sea from the boat, it is advisable to have a suitable boarding ladder for your return on board. Our range of swim ladders makes it easier to get back into the inflatable boat. Remember that this can save lives in an emergency!

Also think about mooring. You will need suitable ropes to carry your inflatable boat to the water and to moor it at the jetty.

Every inflatable boat is different. Contact us, we will be happy to advise you!
