Learn moreCushion fenders serve as protective bodies and spacers on ships, boats and yachts. They have different shapes depending on their use. The rectangular shape and the robust material of PE foam (polyethylene) particularly distinguish these fenders. A special coating makes the fenders particularly weatherproof.
Fenders for the boat - indispensable!
As soon as your boat could graze the jetty and neighbouring boats when mooring or casting off from the pier, the fenders provide you with indispensable services. The movements of a boat can never be fully calculated and even with good manoeuvring it will sway depending on the wind force. Contact and friction with other boats, yachts or the jetty cannot always be avoided. If the fenders are attached to the outside of the ship's side in suitable places, they reliably protect against scrapes and damage.
Rich range: fender cushions and plate fenders
In addition to the classic inflatable ball and long fenders, a wide range of fenders is available today: although traditional ball fenders fulfil their purpose as spacers, they also slip easily. Flat fenders or plate fenders, on the other hand, hardly shift at all. They provide cushioning effect over a larger area, especially when slipping and sluicing and passing dolphins. The cushion fender is another form of flat fender, also made of PE foam, but with square dimensions and a washable cover.
