NMP stands for 'no moving parts' In use, the TyeTec® NMP blocks are positioned between the thimble and loop block. The fixed part is spliced or hooked in through the central opening; the NMP block is secured against twisting via the milled slots by sewing or with a simple cable tie. The fetching part runs between the jaws of the NMP block. They can be used in a variety of ways, ranging from use as a folding runner block in the top of the mainsail or jib to use as a reefing block in the main to cascades for the downhaul or backstay. They are also ideal for barberhaulers and can be rigged particularly quickly and easily over the sheet in conjunction with the open loop for fastening. TyeTec® aluminium NMP blocks AlMgSi1, specially pre-treated and hard anodized for low friction and excellent surface protection. The blocks are characterized by high working loads and low weight.
