Produced on the latest CNC controlled machines, Antal winches have been the favourite choice of blue water cruisers for years. They are light, reliable and easy to service. For instance, the basic components of all the 2-speed models are made from 3 machined alloy parts which makes them lighter and stronger than cast equivalents, easier to maintain and install and competitive on price. The gear wheels and driveshaft are made of bronze and stainless steel and the self-tailing mechanism has been developed to give extra horizontal hold but still allow the top ring to rise to accommodate different rope.
