The Sterling Pro Protect Avon alternator protection prevents regulators and diodes from being destroyed in the event of a sudden interruption during power production between the alternator and the consumer. This can happen unintentionally by operating the main switch or activating a fuse. The alternator protection prevents this by temporarily consuming the excess power produced. This function is not active during normal operation.
