Wadden Sea wonderland

The Wadden Sea of the North Sea is the largest contiguous system of sand and mudflats in the world and a full larder and breeding ground for numerous species of fish and birds. At high tide, the flukes of harbor porpoises can be seen breaching the surface of the water, seals often cavort in large groups on the sandbanks at low tide and millions of shelducks, gulls and terns stop off here on their long journey south.
