The McMurdo FastFind Crew1 AIS MOB distress transmitter is equipped with semi-automatic triggering and a number of other features to quickly identify the position of the distressed person and assist local rescuers in locating them. Due to the compact and lightweight design of the AIS MOB transmitter, carrying it around is not an effort. Activation of the FastFind Crew1 AIS distress transmitter is semi-automatic and can be done after water contact or manually. Once activated, the battery life is 36 hours. The powerful SOS emergency flash helps rescuers locate the distressed person even in poor visibility. Thanks to the robust housing construction, the AIS emergency transmitter is waterproof up to 50m and designed for use on board. The FastFind Crew1 AIS MOB is supplied with a clip to attach the unit to the lifejacket harness and another clip to attach the AIS beacon to the lifejacket mouthpiece. This clip can be attached to either side of the mouthpiece / Manual activation: Manual activation is done by pulling off the red antenna cap, which releases the antenna. Then the final activation is done by pulling off the activation tab. The AIS distress transmitter immediately begins to determine its position and then transmits the AIS distress message. / Automatic activation: To activate the automatic activation, the red antenna cap must be removed first in order to release the antenna.
