This cruising guide describes, among other things, the Ionian Islands sailing area, which is particularly favored by the climate, and the western Greek mainland coast off which the islands lie: Corfu, the green island in the north, further south Paxos and Antipaxos, Levkas, Kephallinia and, a few nautical miles to the northeast, Ithaca, the legendary home of Odysseus. To the south lies the island of Zakynthos, once called the "Flower of the Levant" by the Venetians.

This volume has been updated by the experienced duo Melanie Haselhorst and Kenneth Dittmann, who have been traveling the Greek waters under sail for years.

The editors have meticulously recorded all the changes and also describe the new harbors, marinas, shipyards and anchorages. Numerous new and additional photos have been included and all the maps have been revised.
