The new Valletta boot is extremely light and sporty and has a water-repellent gaiter like our top-of-the-range Crosshaven model. This is an important feature for offshore sailors, with drainage mesh inserts at the ankle for optimum water drainage and a drawstring to secure the upper and prevent backwash. When you walk along the leeward deck to adjust the leech of a headsail while sailing to windward, you'll notice the difference a gaiter makes. Even when the waves splash your shins, your feet will stay remarkably dry. Valletta also has a new flexible, shock-absorbing bi-compound sole combined with our amazingly grippy NonSlip NonMarking outsole and all the other unique Dubarry features that so many sailors rely on.
