The receiver for AIS signals offers many safety advantages for recreational boating. Ships within a radius of 32 nautical miles can be clearly identified and ship movements are displayed on the screen in real time. Ships over 300 GT are subject to AIS identification. The data field next to the radar image shows the name, position, course and speed of other ships. The built-in device is compact and has a high-contrast LCD display with white backlighting. It requires connection to a separate VHF receiving antenna and connection to the standard NMEA output of a GPS receiver. Power supply via 12 V on-board power supply. Dimensions of built-in device: 15.5 x 11.6 cm. Display: 11.3 x 6.6 cm.
