Yacht Devices exhaust gas sensor YDGS-01N, with NMEA2000 connection This sensor measures the temperatures of extremely hot gases, surfaces or liquids. The measuring range is between 0° C and +800° C. The sensor is not only designed to measure exhaust gas temperature, it can also be used to measure other surfaces. The sensor is factory set to air temperature. In the NMEA 2000® network it can be configured e.g. as Exhaust Gas Temperature, Heating System Temperature, Engine Room Temperature Sensor. Technical details: The temperature is measured outside the device by a measuring probe, located at the end of the 90 cm long cable. The probe is insulated with a heat-resistant fibreglass sheath. Since the measuring range is very large, the following accuracies apply: At temperatures up to 330 °C the deviation is ± 5.5 °C, below 100 °C the accuracy is significantly better, and in the upper temperature range the accuracy is still ± 11.5 °C. Digital switching support: All of our sensors can be configured by the user so that automatic switching processes are carried out in the digital switchin g under certain conditions. One sensor can switch six different channels and handle six different conditions. The Digital Thermometer and/or the Exhaust Temperature Sensor work directly with the current temperature, the Digital Barometer can display the current air pressure and at the same time has access to the pressure curve over time. The interaction of the individual values can be used to indicate a change in the weather with an alarm tone. If the values of the humidity sensor are added, the dew point can be calculated from the current air temperature, air pressure and humidity. The sensors can now switch on the ventilation via digital switching to ventilate the boat or even switch on the radar system or an active radar detector because fog is expected.
