The original Petromax Alkan is an almost odorless and very pure kerosene oil, which is suitable for the operation of petroleum, lamp oil or kerosene operated devices, especially for Petromax models as well as wick lamps, strong light lamps and incandescent lamps. Contrary to many colored or flavored lamp oils, Petromax Alkan does not impair the sustainable function of the devices. The relatively viscous alkane helps to increase the service life of cotton wicks, for example. The practical filler neck of the 1000 ml bottles makes it easy to fill the devices even without a funnel.
