Hempel Antifouling Classic

Hempel Antifouling Classic is a high-performance, polishing (erodible) antifouling that provides year-round protection for your boats. It offers outstanding performance and is especially suitable for various boat materials.

Recommended use

• Suitable for boats made of fibreglass, wood, plywood and steel.


• Do not use on aluminium or other light metal alloys to avoid the risk of corrosion.


• Ideal for boats operating at normal speeds.

Theoretical coverage

Theoretical coverage is 13 m²/L, which allows for efficient coverage during application.

Product compatibility

• Previous coats: Recommended products are Hempel's Light Primer, Hempel's Underwater Primer and Hempel's Pro Tiecoat.

Precoating

• At 10°C: min. 8 hours drying time.


• At 20°C: min. 4 hours drying time.


• At 30°C: min. 3 hours drying time.

Application instructions

• Antifouling with copper components must not come into electrical contact with aluminium hulls and other aluminium components.


• Stir well before use.


• Apply 2 coats of antifouling with a dry film thickness of 40 μm each.


• Apply an additional coat at the waterline and in areas subject to heavy wear.


• Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and face and eye protection.
