Learning to manoeuvre motorboats from a bird's eye view - not possible? Not possible. With this book, boat manoeuvres become child's play.
The concept: harbour manoeuvres from a bird's eye view
The two water sports journalists Christian Tiedt (BOOTE) and Lars Bolle (YACHT) have developed a special concept for this book that makes the individual boat manoeuvres particularly clear: In pictures that show the individual movements of the motorboat step by step from a bird's eye view, a wide variety of technical procedures are explained, such as mooring and casting off in all conceivable situations and with all common types of propulsion.
Structure of the book
Whether with Z-drive or shaft drive, whether on the jetty, at the mooring ring or in the box - all processes are explained in detail and the original perspective guarantees very good comprehensibility.
The basic chapter begins by describing the different types of propulsion (shaft drive, sterndrive, outboard) that are important for carrying out the manoeuvres described in the book. In addition, there are detailed extra chapters on anchoring safely - in addition to the various anchoring harnesses, suitable anchorages are also presented here - tacking and hauling as well as correct towing and locking. This means that nothing stands in the way of mastering manoeuvres that are sometimes not easy even for experienced boaters.
For beginners and experienced skippers
"Harbour manoeuvres step by step - with the motor book" is an absolutely practical book that gives even experienced skippers valuable tips. It takes the fear out of manoeuvres for beginners and helps them to master them with confidence.
