The gateway makes it possible to send 2 x NMEA-0183 data to a PC or smartphone / tablet and to control the navigation via compatible software. With this yacht device, various data sets from navigation instruments can be translated into Wifi data. The following data sets are supported: Course, speed, position, wind speed and direction, water depth and AIS data. The gateway works in both directions and allows the yacht to be controlled via almost any marine software. Popular programs such as OpenCPN, iNavx, Expedition, Coastal Explorer and MaxSea use the NMEA 0183 data sets. The gateway has three TCP/UPD network servers with individual settings and filters. It can be customised to your existing devices and data sets. The built-in web server makes it easy to set up the gateway, install firmware updates and record data. It also has virtual display instruments that show the instrument data in any web browser. The virtual web display has four different pages with customisable layouts, you choose which display to show and which instrument data to read. In the internal memory, the gateway automatically records the GPS track, with weather data, depth data and other data if necessary (up to 32,000 waypoints). This recorded data can be uploaded from the internal website to GPX. (For Garmin MapSource, Googel Earth or other geographic applications.) CSV file s are also supported.
