Characteristics

- Reliable fouling protection
- Low layer build-up
- Can be painted over directly
- Suitable for motor and sailing boats
- Area of application: all northern European waters - inland and coastal areas

Coverage: approx. 11 square metres/litre

Application

The substrate must be clean, dry and, above all, free of grease. Old coatings must be intact and well adhered. Always check the substrate for compatibility with old antifoulings. Compass C18 is compatible with other commercially available thin-film antifoulings. It can usually be recoated directly and without preparatory work when applying a new coat.

The application temperature should be between +10°C and +30°C in dry weather.

It is applied with a fur roller. Add the powder to the can under the bonnet and mix thoroughly with the antifouling. After mixing, use up the contents within 7 days. We recommend 2 coats for a new build and approx. 1 coat per season as a renewal coat. An additional coat should be applied to particularly stressed areas such as the waterline.

Recoating interval: approx. 20 minutes (20°C)

Waiting time before allowing to soak: min. 30 minutes, max. unlimited

If necessary, sand the old coating and carefully remove the sanding dust.

Prime with the two-component EPOXY PRIMER when applying a new coating.

Antifouling for your boat

Over time, the paint on your boat weathers and loses its former beautiful lustre. This also means that the boat's hull is no longer protected. To restore your boat to its original appearance, it needs to be repainted.
