Discover the 57 mm Carbo Ratsch blocks
The 57 mm Carbo Ratsch blocks are the ideal solution for sailors looking for an optimal balance between holding power and controlled fiddling under load. With their compact design and high load-to-mass ratio, these blocks offer both robustness and ease of use.
Main features
- Materials: Cheeks made of reinforced nylon resin with densely layered glass fibres for increased stability.
- Surface: Hard Lube anodised, milled discs provide strength and corrosion protection.
- Safety: Eight bevels ensure that the sheet is held securely.
- Ball bearing: Free-running ball bearing, disc and cheeks are blackened for maximum protection.
Functionality
The reversible ratchets enable precise on/off switching with easy-to-reach switches on both sides of the block. This ensures flexible handling and adaptation to the respective sailing conditions.
Optimal application
For an effective sailing system, we recommend installing a switchable ratchet in the cockpit and attaching a Ratchamatic® directly above it on the boom. This ensures double holding power in strong winds and a free-running sheet in lighter conditions.
